    12  And He will set up an ensign for the nations, and will assemble the dispersed of Israel, and gather together the scattered of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

    13 And the envy of Ephrayim shall turn aside, and the adversaries of Yehuḏah be cut off. Ephrayim shall not envy Yehuḏah, and Yehuḏah not trouble Ephrayim.

    14  And they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines (The head of Amalek today PA, PLO, Hamas etc.) on the west; together shall they spoil the children of the east; they shall put forth their hand upon Edom (Western world today, Edom and Yishmael in unity) and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

    15  And Yah will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea (Today: Edom and Yishmael in unity with Amalek their leader); and with His scorching wind will He shake His hand over the River, and will smite it into seven streams, and cause men to march over dry-shod.

    16  And there shall be a highway for the remnant of His people (the dispersed from Israel and Yehudah), that shall remain from Assyria, like as there was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

    14 And he said, “These are the two anointed ones (Yehuadah and Ephraim), who stand beside the Master of all the earth.

    Yehudah and Ephraim standing near the Kodesh Kodeshim........ Two separate nations: Yehudah (Their National soul Messiah Ben David) and Ephraim (Their National Soul Messiah Ben Yoseph) coming to unity by 'oil from themselves' (independent from each other): The 'sparks' of Messiah there (in unity) 'National Soul'....... Messiah Ben David, HaShem speaking from between the Cherubim above the Atonement Lid of the Ark of the Covenant.

    The unification of Yehudah and Ephraim - The unification of Messiah Ben David/Yoseph.
    Messiah Ben David/Yoseph is the One who: Isa 63:9  In all their distress He was distressed, and the Messenger of His Presence saved them. In His love and in His compassion He redeemed them, and He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. What is he base of the HaBerith HaChadasha:

    Jer 31:1-37  “At that time,” declares Adonai, “I shall be the Elohim of all the clans of Yisra’ěl, and they shall be My people.” 

    2  Thus said Adonai, “A people who escaped from the sword found favour in the wilderness, Yisra’ěl, when it went to find rest.” 

    3  Adonai appeared to me from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore I shall draw you with loving-commitment. 

    4  “I am going to build you again. And you shall be rebuilt, O maiden of Yisra’ěl! Again you shall take up your tambourines, and go forth in the dances of those who rejoice. 

    5  “Again you shall plant vines on the mountains of Shomeron. The planters shall plant and treat them as common. 

    6  “For there shall be a day when the watchmen cry on Mount Ephrayim (The United States of Israel), ‘Arise, and let us go up to Tsiyon, to Adonai our Elohim.’ ” 

    7  For thus said Adonai, “Sing with gladness for Ya‛aqoḇ, and shout among the chief of the nations. Cry out, give praise, and say, ‘O Adonai, save Your people, the remnant of Yisra’ěl!’ 

    8  “See, I am bringing them from the land of the north, and shall gather them from the ends of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, those with child and those in labour, together – a great assembly returning here. 

    9  “With weeping they shall come, and with their prayers I bring them. I shall make them walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they do not stumble. For I shall be a Father to Yisra’ěl, and Ephrayim – he is My first-born. 

    10  “Hear the word of Adonai, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Yisra’ěl gathers him, and shall guard him as a shepherd his flock.’ 

    11  “For Adonai shall ransom Ya‛aqoḇ, and redeem him from the hand of one stronger than he. 

    12  “And they shall come in and shall sing on the height of Tsiyon, and stream to the goodness of Adonai, for grain and for new wine and for oil, and for the young of the flock and the herd. And their being shall be like a well-watered garden, and never languish again. 

    13  “Then shall a maiden rejoice in a dance, and young men and old, together. And I shall turn their mourning to joy, and shall comfort them, and shall make them rejoice from their sorrow, 

    14  and shall fill the being of the priests with fatness. And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness,” declares Adonai. 

    15  Thus said Adonai, “A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing, bitter weeping, Raḥěl weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.” 

    16  Thus said Adonai, “Hold back your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears, for there is a reward for your work,” declares Adonai, “and they shall return from the land of the enemy. 

    17  “And there is expectancy for your latter end,” declares Adonai, “and your children shall return to their own country. 

    18  “I have clearly heard Ephrayim lamenting, ‘You have chastised me, and I was chastised, like an untrained calf. Turn me back, and I shall turn back, for You are Adonai my Elohim. 

    19  For after my turning back, I repented. And after I was instructed, I struck myself on the thigh. I was ashamed, even humiliated, for I bore the reproach of my youth.’ 

    20  “Is Ephrayim a precious son to Me, a child of delights? For though I spoke against him, I still remembered him. That is why My affections were deeply moved for him. I have great compassion for him,” declares Adonai. 

    21  “Set up signposts, make landmarks; set your heart toward the highway, the way in which you went. Turn back, O maiden of Yisra’ěl, turn back to these cities of yours! 

    22  “Till when would you turn here and there, O backsliding daughter? For Adonai has created what is new on earth: a woman encompasses a man!” 

    23  Thus said Adonai of hosts, the Elohim of Yisra’ěl, “Let them once again say this word in the land of Yehuḏah and in its cities, when I turn back their captivity, ‘Adonai bless you, O home of righteousness, mountain of set-apartness!’ 

    24  “And in Yehuḏah and all its cities farmers and those who journey with flocks, shall dwell together. 

    25  “For I shall fill the weary being, and I shall replenish every grieved being.” 

    26  At this I awoke and looked around, and my sleep was sweet to me. 

    27  “See, the days are coming,” declares Adonai, “that I shall sow the house of Yisra’ěl and the house of Yehuḏah with the seed of man and the seed of beast. 

    28  “And it shall be, that as I have watched over them to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict, so I shall watch over them to build and to plant,” declares Adonai. 

    29  “In those days they shall no longer say, ‘The fathers ate sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are blunted.’ 

    30  “But each one shall die for his own crookedness – whoever eats sour grapes, his teeth shall be blunted. 

    31  “See, the days are coming,” declares Adonai, “when I shall make a renewed covenant with the house of Yisra’ěl (Ephraim, the Lost Sheep from the House of Israel) and with the house of Yehuḏah (The Jews). 

    32  Not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day when I strengthened their hand to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares Adonai.

    33  “For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisra’ěl after those days, declares Adonai: I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people. 

    34  “And no longer shall they teach, each one his neighbour, and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know Adonai,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares Adonai. “For I shall forgive their crookedness, and remember their sin no more.” 

    35  Thus said Adonai, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the laws of the moon and the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, and its waves roar – Adonai of hosts is His Name: 

    36  “If these laws vanish from before Me,” declares Adonai, “then the seed of Yisra’ěl shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever.” 

    37  Thus said Adonai, “If the heavens above could be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I would also cast off all the seed of Yisra’ěl for all that they have done,” declares Adonai.

    It doesn’t matter your ‘religious’ or ‘non-religious’ ‘background. Be what you are Christian, Muslim, Hindu or whatever but don’t change by taking off or adding to the Divine Laws ‘revealed’ to Moshe Rabbeinu the first five books of the Bible…… Let us do again all His Sabbath and Yom Tovim? But find a way to ‘use’ the laws of ‘your religion’ as a ‘halacha’ around the Divine Laws revealed to Moshe Rabbeinu. As is the ‘function’ of Jewish Halacha. Express Love in respect to every religion. By annihilating all the laws Avoda Zarah, robbery, murder, raping, murder the rape victim, homophily, pedofily etc. brought forth by following our Yetser Hara (evil inclination) and bringing fort her ‘head’ the ‘anointed’ king: Amalek, the ultimate expression of our evil inclination. But instead cultivating the sparks of Messiah our Yetser Tov (good inclination) into our National Soul. And accepting the areas West of the Jordan River as Jewish (Yehuda’s) Inheritance under Jewish (Yehuda’s) Sovereignty with only Jewish Halacha. Including the Har HaBait with a New Temple and her service under Jewish Halacha. והנה בחי’ פרטו’ הבנין דמל’ הנק’ כלה שכלולה מהכל כו’ היינו מה שבבחי’ הדבור מתגלה הכל בבחי’ יש ודבר נבדל כאותיות הדבור שמגלה הכל

Now for more detail regarding the aspect of the construction of Malchut which is called Kalah-The Bride,[1] because it includes HaKol-Everything etc.[2] This is the fact that everything becomes revealed in the aspect of speech in a tangible and separate way, like the letters of speech which reveal all.

והוא גם מבחי’ התענוג ורצון העצמי שבעצמו’ אא”ס ממש בבחי’ חפץ חסד ההיולי הנז’ (באות הי’) כשבא בהשתלשלות רבות עד רצון וחכמה ומדות דא”ק וא”א עד בחי’ רצון וחכמה ומדות חיצוניו’ הכלי’ דז”א הכל בא בבחי’ המל’ בחי’ הדבור העליון בהתגלות יש בבחי’ האצי’

This includes even the aspect of the essential pleasure and desire that is in the Essence of the Infinite Light literally, i.e. the aspect of the Heyuli desire for kindness which was previously mentioned (in chapter ten) as it chains down in its great descent until the desire and wisdom and emotions of Adam Kadmon and Arich Anpin, until the aspect of the desire, wisdom and emotions in the external vessels of Zeir Anpin; All this comes into the aspect of Malchut which is the aspect of the supernal speech with a revelation of somethingness in an aspect of Atzilut.

שע”ז א’ אני ראשון ואני אחרון וכן ראו כי אני אני הוא בחי’ מל’ דא”ס במל’ דאצי’ סופא דכל דרגין כו’

Regarding this it states,[3] “I am first and I am last,” and it similarly states,[4] “See that I, I am He,” i.e. the aspect of Malchut of Ein Sof [vested] in Malchut of Atzilut which is called[5] “the end of all the levels” etc.

ותחלה יש להבין דרך פרט בפרצוף המל’ מבחי’ כתר שבה עד בחי’ המל’ שבה שבוקע המסך להיות כתר לבריאה כו’

Now, we must first understand in a detailed manner the Partzuf-stature of Malchut, from the aspect of Keter that is in it until the aspect of Malchut that is in it, which penetrates the screen to become the Keter of Briyah etc.

דהנה בר”ה הוא בנין כתר הנוק’ כו’ והוא מה שאו’ י’ פסוקים מלכיות כו’

For, on Rosh Hashanah the construction of Keter of Nukvah-the Female takes place etc., and this is why we say the ten verses of kingship etc.[6]

דהיינו להמשיך בחי’ התענוג והרצון למלוכה מחדש שהוא לעורר מחדש בחי’ התענוג והרצון הפשוט שבעצמו’ להיות אנא אמלוך כו’

In other words, this is in order to draw forth the aspect of the pleasure and desire for kingship anew, that is, to awaken anew the aspect of the simple pleasure and desire of the essence of[7] “I will rule” etc.

 (והיינו ענין גבורי כח עושי דברו כו’ הנז’ בזהר כמ”ש במ”א בענין ויתנו לך כתר מלוכה כו’)

(This is the explanation of the verse,[8] “The mighty in strength that fulfill His word etc,” as mentioned in the Zohar and as explained elsewhere regarding the words[9] “And they have given You a crown of kingship etc.”)

בהיות ידוע שבחי’ ההתגלות בדבור הנ”ל הוא הנק’ דבר מלך והוא בחי’ מדות ההתנשאו’ כמ”ש ה’ מלך גאות כו’ וכן מלכותך מל’ כו’

For it is known that the aspect of the aforementioned revelation of speech is what is called “The Word of The King,” and it is the attribute of lordship, as it states,[10] “Hashem reigns; He is clothed in majesty etc,” or[11] “Your kingdom is a kingship over all the worlds etc.”

וכמו עד”מ מדת ההתנשאות באדם שהוא בחי’ מדה נבדלת מן העצמות להיות מתנשא על זולתו דוקא כו’

This is analogous to the attribute of lordship in man, which is an attribute that is separate from one’s essence, for it is the attribute of ruling over one’s fellow specifically etc.

משא”כ שאר המדות שהן חלק ממש מן העצמו’ כמו אור מדת החסד שהנפש עצמה נמשכת ומתפעלת מהחסד כי עיק’ מדה זו המשכה מן העצמו’ הוא כמ”כ החכמ’ נמשכת מן העצם כו’

This is not the case with the other attributes which are literally part of the essence.  For instance, with the light of the attribute of kindness, the soul itself is drawn after and becomes aroused by the kindness.  For the primary essence of that attribute is a drawing forth from the essence [of the soul], and the same is true of wisdom which is drawn from the essence [of the soul].

אבל מדת ההתנשאו’ הגם שהנפש מתפעלת ממנה אבל העיקר שלה הוא המתהווה מן הדבר הנבדל מן העצם שהוא על זולתו ואם אין דבר זולתו לא תתעורר מדה זו כלל

In regard to the attribute of lordship however, even though the soul is aroused by it, nevertheless it primarily comes into being by something that is separate from the essence, i.e. that [he rules] over his fellow, and if there were nothing aside for him then there would be no arousal of this attribute whatsoever.

והגם שבחי’ החסד ג”כ להטיב חסדו לזולתו דוקא אבל מ”מ תחלת התהוותה הוא בעצמו’ גם שאין איש להטיב עמו

And although the attribute of kindness is also specifically in order to do kindness with his fellow, nevertheless the beginning of its arousal is within his essence, even if there is no one to bestow his goodness to.

משא”כ בהתנשאו’ שלא תתהווה בעצם מציאותה בלתי מי שיש להתנשאו’ עליו

Which is not the case regarding [the attribute] of lordship which essentially does not come into being without someone over whom to rule.

וראי’ לזה ממה שכל עיקר בנינה בהתפשטו’ אורך ורוחב תלוי רק בביטול האנשים

The proof of this is from the fact that its entire construction of spreading to a length and breadth depends solely on the sublimation of the people.


כשירוממוהו יעוררו לתכלית ההתנשאות ובמיעוט הביטול ימעיטו אור מדה זו כו’

When they exalt him they arouse the ultimate depth of his dominion, but with the lessening of the sublimation, the light of this attribute likewise lessens etc.

אבל החסד כמו שהוא בעצם כך יתפשט

However, with [the attribute of] kindness, it will spread forth as it is in the essence.

וגם שיהי’ בו ריבוי ומיעוט עפ”י אופן התעוררו’ המקבל אם הוא מבקש ברחמנות ביותר כו’ מ”מ לא מזה יבא עיקר בנינה כו’ וד”ל.

And although there will be fluctuations of more or less [kindness] according to the manner in which the recipient arouses and requests, with great pleading [or less pleading] etc, nevertheless, it is not primarily constructed from this etc.  This will suffice for the understanding.

והנמשל מזה יש להבין למעלה כי כמו מלכותא דארעא כך מלכותא דרקיע שאין מלך בלא עם דוקא

Now, we must understand the analogue of this, because[12] “as is the kingdom below, so is the kingdom of Heaven,” in that,[13] “there – specifically – is no king without a nation”.

והגם שההתנשאות דבחי’ מדת מל’ למעלה הוא כשאר המדות העליונות אבל אינה המשכה ממש מבחי’ העצמו’

This is because although the lordship of the aspect of the attribute of Malchut above is like the other supernal attributes, nevertheless it is not an actual drawing forth from the aspect of the Essence.

 (רק מ”מ ישנה בכח ובהעלם גדול כי בבחי’ אדם גם בתינוק קטן יש בחי’ ההתנשאות להתנשא על הכל גם על הבהמה שזהו בטבע תולדתו מיד כמ”ש ורדו כו’

(However, it nonetheless is there in potential and in great concealment, for even in the aspect of man, even a small child possesses the aspect of lordship to rule over everything, including animals, for this is his nature immediately from birth, as it states,[14] “[And G-d said to them… ] have dominion over [the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that creeps upon the earth] etc.”

כנראה בטבע התינוק שתשוקתו למשול ולרדות על חיה ובהמה ועוף כו’ כמ”ש במ”א שזהו דוקא מבחי’ אדם

We observe in the nature of a child that his desire is to control and dominate over animals, beasts and birds etc., as discussed elsewhere that this is an [attribute] specific to the aspect of man.

משא”כ מדת החסד והרחמים שישנה בבהמה ג”כ כנשר שהוא רחמני כו’)

In contrast, the attributes of kindness and mercy may also be found even in the beasts, such as the eagle which is merciful etc.[15])

הגם שנק’ מדת ההתנשאות אבל עיקר בנינה הוא להתנשאות ע”ד זולתו ואז נמשך תענוג ורצון גדול בהתנשאות זו

Now even though [the essential hidden attribute] is called the attribute of lordship, nevertheless its primary construction is specifically to have dominion over something external to himself and it is specifically then that the pleasure and great desire to rule is drawn forth.

ולפ”ז יש להבין איך יתכן למעלה באלקות שאין לך דבר חוץ ממנו על מי יתנשא כו’

According to this we must understand how this is applicable above in G-dliness, for there is nothing outside of Him upon whom to rule etc.

וא”כ בחי’ בנין המל’ ברצון ותענוג ומדות בבחי’ פרצוף שלם בבחי’ האצילות א”א להיות כ”א כאשר עלה ברצונו שיהיה יש נפרד לעצמו שיהיה על מי להתנשאות כו’

Therefore, it would not be possible for there to be the aspect of the construction of Malchut with desire and pleasure and emotions in the aspect of a complete stature in the aspect of Atzilut, were it not for the arousal of His desire that there should be a being separate from Himself over which to rule.

אזי נתעורר אור מדה זו מן המאציל כו’ ולזאת אמר ה’ מלך גאות לבש שנתלבש במדה זו להיות מלך על עם

And it is specifically then that this attribute is aroused in the Emanator, and about this it states, “Hashem reigned; He is clothed in majesty,” i.e. He vests within this attribute to be a king over a nation.

וע”כ צריך דוקא למדה זאת לחדש אות’ ממקו’ חוצבה בכל ר”ה דהיינו עד בחי’ מח’ בעצמות אא”ס אנא אמלוך כו’ בבחי’ ההתנשאות שעלה בבחי’ עצמותו עדיין קודם שהיה הצמצום כו’

It is for this reason that it is specifically this attribute which must be renewed from its essential source every Rosh HaShanah, that is, all the way to the aspect of the essential thought “I will rule” within the Essence of the Infinite Light etc., which is the aspect of lordship which arose in the aspect of His Essence prior to the Tztimzum-constriction.

ולזה היה הצמצום הראשון הנק’ מק”פ כו’ כדי שיהיה דבר חוץ מן העצמות שיתכן ע”ז בחי’ אור ההתנשאות דבחי’ מל’ דא”ס

It is for this reason that the first Tzimtzum-constriction which is called the empty place[16] (Makom Panuy) took place, in order that there be something outside of His Essence upon which it would be applicable for the aspect of the light of lordship of the aspect of Malchut of the Ein Sof [to rule].

 (וכמ”ש במ”א בענין גמלתהו טוב כו’ בשרש העכו”ם שהפרידן מאחדותו בבחי’ החושך והצמצום כו’ כדי שיהי’ בחי’ מדת התפארת שמדת הת”ת ג”כ אינו אלא בפני איש נכרי ומרוחק דוקא כו’ וד”ל)

(This is as stated elsewhere regarding the verse,[17] “She does him good etc,” about the root of the idolaters whom He separated from His Oneness in an aspect of darkness and tzimtzum-constriction etc., so that there would be the attribute of Tiferet-mercy.[18]  This is because the attribute of mercy likewise only applies to a person who specifically is foreign and distant etc. This will suffice for the understanding.)

 וכך יובן בבחי’ מל’ דאצי’ סופא דכל דרגין שבאצי’ שהוא רצון ותענוג כו’ של מדת ההתנשאו’ להיות מלך על בי”ע שלזה הוצרך להיות הצמצום דמסך שבין אצי’ לבריאה להיות ראש לשועלים כו’ כידוע

In this manner we may understand the aspect of Malchut of Atzilut, the end of all levels of Atzilut, which is the desire and pleasure etc. of the attribute of lordship to be the king over Briyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah, for which purpose it was necessary for there to be the constriction of the screen between Atzilut and Briyah [so that] it becomes the head of the foxes etc, as known.

והיינו אני ראשון בבחי’ מל’ דא”ס ואני אחרון במל’ דאצילות כי נעוץ תחלתן בסופן וזהו בכל ר”ה ור”ה כידוע וד”ל

This, then, is the meaning of [“I am first, and I am last,”] i.e. “I am first” in the aspect of Malchut of Ein Sof, and “I am last” in Malchut of Atzilut for[19] “their beginning is bound with their end,” and this takes place each and every Rosh HaShanah, as known.  This will suffice for the understanding.
